we built this city

City of Ten has been my fanlisting collective since sometime in the spring of 2007 (I'm not exactly sure when) and used to be housed at orenjipan.com as evensong. I decided to change the name to City of Ten when I moved it here to elenen.org because, of course, there is a city by that name in the land the domain is named after. I also really like the mental image of my fanlistings being a little city on the domain... despite the fact that few are actually hosted under it, whoops. Ah well, it's not a fanlisting collective unless it has a ridiculous name, right?

This is version 5 of my fanlisting collective, entitled "we built this city on rock&roll," mostly because Starship's "We Built This City" was the first thing I thought of when I went to name it. Plus it features Gackt (a rock star, albeit a Japanese one), so it fits, right...?

I have to admit, as much of a fan of Gackt as I am, my fandom is more about his music than his appearance. When I first saw this photoshoot, though, my jaw about dropped and all I could say was "damn, he is hot!" Then again, that might because I have a thing for collared shirts and suits... So, since the last layout for evensong had been complex (at least for me, since it featured my art), I decided to keep it simple with this one and went with black and white. The fonts featured are Garamond and Lucida Grande.
